Devon's Robot

Something different today. This piece isn't even by me.

This robot was drawn by my 7-year-old son, Devon. I certainly wasn't drawing such detailed (and 3D?) robots at his age. Look at that shoulder gear, and the "ear." And the chest!

I don't get it.

Before you say "well, he's your son," my father was not an illustrator, nor was his father. In fact, my family is known for being a family of musicians and singers. Many a family member has sung with groups and choruses. One was a composer and music teacher.

If anything, I should've become a spectacular trombone player.

(And to toot my own horn for a sec, pun intended, I can sing a bit, but never would be "pro" for various reason, including I outweight pre-gastric bypass John Popper and current Adele combined. No you can't hear me sing. Unless you search YouTube and know what you're looking for.)

Anyway, Devon's got a ton more of impressive artwork, and even makes comic books for himself, friends, and family.

So, if you like my work, check back in ten years or so. You'll LOVE his.

You must be so pleased and proud, quite understandably!
